On each of the NASA moon missions, astronauts brought along specialized Hasselblad cameras to take pictures. Though expensive and highly prized, the cameras brought to the moon were left behind by the astronauts in order to cut down on weight for the return trip to earth. Supposedly, twelve Hasselblad cameras remain on the moon.

On the Logic of Dubious Historical Accounts, 1969-1972 is a documentation of twelve Hasselblad cameras falling to the lunar surface. By using high-speed filming techniques similar to what could have been used to simulate low gravity in a staging of the NASA moon landing, this film recreates the descent of the Hasselblad cameras from the hands of unseen astronauts to the surface of the moon.
