Lanzarote, a volcanic island in the Canaries, was shaped during the XVIII century by a series of eruptions. The island’s mineral, semi-desertic landscapes preserve a memory of this history.
In 2015, I traversed this area in search of a cataclysm. In this ravaged land, I saw the tentative beginnings of a return to life. Text read by Violeta Salvatierra
