Yes, Marie Menken, the poet, one of the purest poets of film. Marie’s films were her flower garden, and you can sit in those flowers, and they will fill you with a truly rare feeling of happiness, a joy of life - yes, and maybe with a sadness; but it’s like sitting in the midst of flowers and seeing your own life very, very close by, like feeling your own life and all other life, and having an insight into that, how everything could be - and you feel refreshed and very, very good and you look ahead.
