New York's Haitian community takes it to the streets to protest years of fatal policing.
Radio Haiti features a different aspect of portraiture - a community as seen through individuals participating in group action. I wanted to show the different "characters" in relation to the group - participating fully, observing or detached. Their means of self-definition was also of prior importance - imagery & text (placards), music (percussion), flags (of various Caribbean countries), gesture (chained hands, Black Power salute). The sound-track has a more narrative build-up than Tiger Me Bollix, forming a counterpoint to the visual development.
