The scales of the snake refract a trance and invocation. In the epicenter, the pyramids join Izcóatl’s battle, the «Obsidian Serpent» propagates an exhortation: all the dances against the war.
Colectivo Los Ingrávidos arises from the need to dismantle the audio-visual grammar that the aesthetic-television-cinematic corporativism has used and uses to effectively guarantee the diffusion of an audio-visual ideology by means of which a continuous social and perceptive control is maintained over the majority of the population. Within the work of the Ingrávidos, it is important to note the way in which the continuous reflection around the heterogeneity of image and sound motivates the relation of political determinations on aesthetic and audio-visual constructs. Experiments from different documentary and cinematographic devices, as well as interventions or appropriations from found footage allows for Colectivo Los Ingrávidos to demarcate the territory in which an image, being visual or sound, becomes a condition of possibility for a political art. Finally, the consistency of Colectivo Los Ingrávidos is based on the inspiration of the historical avant-gardes, and on the defense of an independent and experimental film linked to a commitment of form and content against alienating realities.
