2002, video beta, color, sound, 16 min.

The film was planned and conceived by Leonardo Carrano and the 3D section was made by Roberto Carluccio, produced by Roberto Gambacorta Riverfilm.
The subject of the film is silence, expressed through exemplary moments which attempt to show as simply and as directly as possible the theme of the work. When making this film, I discovered the importance of silence, not just as a pause that evolves and gets stronger, but also as an absence of images and sounds which, according to the use you make of it, actually becomes a language filled with words and saturated with feelings. The theme of the film is filtered through the image of a child who communicates the emotion of silence through his drawings.

Finding the size of a dream, a place with no rules, as plausible as it needs to be to involve the viewer in the subjectivity of continuous flight and, at the same time, evanescent, ethereal and visionary. With the 3D I created a realistic perspective in which the point of view changes continuously and the visual materials that I had at my disposition allowed me to soften the excessive geometric rigour of the computer-generated image. The shapes which fill the film are in fact plasticine sculptures modelled by hand, only later put into the computer and then coloured with silicon-surfaced photographs.
